COMMON ABBREVIATIONS

Many times a recipe will use abbreviations for certain types of measurements rather than take the time to spell out the whole word. Below are a few of the most common abbreviations that you will see in both this site and others' recipes:

• teaspoon = tsp. = t
• tablespoon = Tbsp. = Tb = T
• cup = c.
• pint = pt.
• quart = qt.
• gram = g
• milliliter = ml
• liter = lt = l
• ounce = oz.
• fluid ounce = fl. oz. = fl oz
• pound = lb.
• kilogram = kg
  

OTHER:

• salt and pepper = s&p
• to taste = TT
