This is the place to go if you are a fan of: awesome burgers served on pretzel rolls with waffle fries, death metal (or other heavy) music and great beer!

I stumbled upon this place during the short year that I lived out in Northern Illinois. I was told: "It is the place to check out if you enjoy heavy music with your pint and a great burger".

Warning, there is usually a pretty long wait to get a seat during normal eating hours, so try and stop by either before or after normal people eat lunch/ dinner. The beer menu is ever-changing and usually features some great hard-to-find's but always has the stand-by PBR, if that's your thing.

I usually always get the Neurosis burger (cheddar & swiss, sautéed mushrooms & onions with horseradish mayo) when I'm there; however, once my friends tried the PEI Mussels and they were suprisingly pretty killer! If you are a big fan of chili cheese fries, try the Slayer "Burger" (fries topped with a 10oz. burger, chili, cherry peppers, andouille, onions, jack cheese, and "Anger"). I've only been here a handful of times, but anything I've ordered has been delicious, so don't be afraid to try whatever sounds good.

My Favorites:
Neurosis Burger, Mastodon Burger, Fried Jalapeno Poppers, Make your own Mac-n-cheese, PEI Mussels
Atmosphere: Dive bar-esq, a long, dark bar with a few tables (2-4 tops), heavy/ death metal playing overhead, porno and movies on the TVs, patio open during the summer, limited street parking.
Cost: Burgers range in cost from around $10 - $15. And beers from $3-$20 (dependent on rarity and size of bottle/ glass)
